Gabe MG

NYC Mixing Engineer

Engine Room Audio is a recording/mixing studio and mastering house located in NYC’s financial district. Founded by owner Mark Christensen in 1996, Engine Room Audio has become the go-to studio for many industry professionals (Mr Probz, Trey Songz, 50 Cent, SZA) as well as independent artists.

Gabe MG works out of the penthouse mixing studio which houses a state of the art audio facility including an SSL 4000G+. In addition to the legendary console and an endless list of plugins, several racks of outboard gear (DBX165As, Universal Audio 1176s, Urei LA3As, Distressors, Neve 1073s and more from Manley, Lexicon, TC Electronics) and some amazing couches make the room a mixing dream. Speakers include Genelec, Yamaha NS10s and Dynaudio far field monitors.

Downstairs, you can find a very active community of resident producers and song writers. The collaborative and creative vibe at the studio is one of the many reasons that so many artists choose to work here.
